How to migrate field aliases from one Splunk instance to another?

Hi,would like to check how to migrate the field aliases from one splunk to another splunk without recreating the field aliases in the new splunk? thks

You add your field aliases to props.conf, which you edit in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/system/local/, or your own custom app directory in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/. (We recommend using the latter directory if you want to make it easy to transfer your data customizations to other index servers.)

The most generic way of transferring configurations - including field aliases - from one Splunk instance to other instances is apps. Package the configurations that together make up a logical package into an app, and install that app on the other Splunk instances.

For a manual approach you can of course copy the FIELDALIAS-foo settings in props.conf from one instance to another, but using apps will be much easier to maintain in the long run.
