splunk web interface

Hi,

I have installed splunk on linux and I have got message that everyphing is OK and The Splunk web interface is at http://splunkhostipaddress:8000.When I run command splunk status,I get messages:splunkd is running (PID: 22760).
splunk helpers are running (PIDs: 22761).
splunkweb is running (PID: 22823).

When I try to connect to splunk server using web interface,I get errors and I can't connect.

Please can you tell me where is error?

Make sure that you don't have firewall / iptables issues.


Take a look at this site to turn off iptables.

have you checked $SPLUNK_HOME/var/log/splunkd.log to make sure there were no obvious errors?

Before I try your solution, I have splunk installed on other servers on the same network and I can easily connect to splunk using web interface.On those server is installed splunk 4.1.6.On new splunk installation I have made today is running splunk 4.2.1 and I can't connect using web interface
