copying files from windows server to the Linux

Hi,

How do we copy the files .tgz from windows server to the Linux box ?
Can anyone help me in doin this?

I like to use WinSCP for transferring files between Windows and Linux systems.

Hi @smith_ ,

you can follow the hint of @isoutamo that's correct.

Put only attention to the grants (chmod) because passing from Windows to Linux, you risk to loose them.

You probably have putty or other ssh client installed on your windows? If not please install it. It has sftp/scp client which you could use for copy that file to Linux.
