Will there be a version of Hunk for MacOS anytime soon?

I run Splunk native on my MacBook Pro (Yosemite). I also run Apache Hadoop locally.

Will there be a version of Hunk compiled for MacOS anytime soon?

All the main distributions and Apache Hadoop website says OSX is not supported:

I am sure you can run Hadoop on OSX, but in order for Hunk to be officially supported on OSX, it will need Hadoop to be supported on OSX.
