Why does Splunk on Prem server's web access randomly shut off?

My Splunk on Prem server's web access randomly shuts off.

When attempting to restart the service it just says Splunkd is already running.

When attempting to check via Splunk mgmt access... it shows Splunkwebserver = 0 but the conf shows Splunkwebserver = 1.

which operative system are you using?

have you sufficient resources to run Splunk?

The issue that when you try to start and the port is occuped is because the splunkd process is still running.

In this case don't use "start" but "restart" as option.

if you have a valid license open  a case to Splunk Support, sending them a diag.
