Where is the installation documentation for Deployment Monitor?

I'm trying to figure out if I need to install the deployment monitor on my indexers. There doesn't seem to be any instructions on how to install this app.

Hi, typically you won't be needing deployment monitor on your indexers (if you have a dedicated indexers and common search heads). Best to deploy it on your Search Head.

I couldn't make this assumption since the previous version of Deployment Monitor (SplunKDeploymentMonitor) required that the app be installed on all the indexers.
