Splunk install for Linux Centos

I am currently trying to install Splunk a Linux Centos box. I have tried to install both the .RPM and TAR files for Splunk but I keep getting this error:

I've Also tried forcing the installation but no luck.

Use yum.

yum install -y <full_name_of_rpm>

RPM -ivh always works well for me .

Is this an upgrade or initial install ?

 

if upgrade try rpm -ivh   <package name > —force

@klaxdal  I checked my bin directory and it looks like only half of splunk installed (compared to the Bin Directory on Windows Splunk). I'm going to uninstall the app and let you.
