Splunk Volume usage question

I have a simple question. From some of the training I took, I was told that "Volume used today" resets at midnight? Is this true or is this false?

Its true when we are talking about license usage volume. This means that counting license usage is made by 00-24 in every day. And on the next day it is starting again from 0.
