Splunk.Module is undefined

Hi, I Just installed Splunk 4.2.3-105575 on Redhat using the sites install guide.

All good up to the point where I log into the web interface. As soon as I login I receive nothing but a blank screen.

bugzilla indicates that 'Splunk.Module is undefined' 'Failed to load source for :http://x.x.x.x:8000/en-GB/app/launcher/home'

Any thoughts or assistance appreciated.

Does splunk-web have access to the directories you installed splunk under? Try starting splunk as root and see if you have the same problem.

Also, try a different localized language, http://x.x.x.x:8000/en-US/app/launcher/home

Lastly, see if you can open the search app: http://x.x.x.x:8000/en-US/app/search

Have you checked SELinux? Might be worth disabling it and restarting to test or at the very least see if its fired any warnings. From memory I think SELinux does require some configuration to work with Splunk sometimes.

I'd recommend you open up a support case to let them gather some diagnostic logs. It may be beneficial to try redeploying the product again incase you had a corrupted download.

Launched under root, and using different localised lang, same issue.

Using the search page I get the same error 'Splunk.Module is undefined'. Screen wise I get a couple of boxes and the All indexed data header, but nothing else.
