Hello,

Couldnt find the answer on the download page but can Splunk be installed on AIX 7 and Solaris 11? If yes, anyone encountered stability issues?

Cheers!

I have done it before. No stability issues seen from my end, even if there is it isn't from splunk. Usually the instability comes from the DB (too many things to process), google for ulimit.

How i do my splunk monitoring agentlessly. Thru syslog. point the agent to the indexer via changing syslog.conf. I've done splunk for both solaris 10,11. Oracle DB and AIX 6.

It isn't supported per the documentation

http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/Installation/Systemrequirements#Supported_OSes

But that doesn't mean it won't work. I put this as a comment, though, so the question will remain "unaddressed" in the forum. Perhaps someone has tried it and has actual experience to share.
