How do I configure Internet Explorer to be able to access Splunk Web Interface?

When trying to access http://HOSTNAME:8000 my internet explorer prevents me from accessing my Splunk Web Interface. I am not able to use any other browser per system requirements. Any idea how I can manipulate Internet Explorer? An additional note, I tried adding the page to my "trusted sites" list but was not permitted access by my security policies.

Did you try https:// instead of http://?

Talk to your security team about adding HOSTNAME to the list of trusted sites.
