('div.nav').prepend not working

HI All,
I want to insert a image in splunk page
for that i used
"$('div.nav').prepend('rslogo');"

above thing is working in below 7.2 version,
But not working in latest version

can any one help on this thing

Hi,

looks like they changed the class attributes of the header and the navigation. Try something like this:

$("header > div > div:nth-of-type(2)").prepend('Test')

Could you point us to where you got the class attributes from ?

Hi,

open up a splunk dashboard and use your browsers developer console to take a look at the class attributes. For example in Chrome right click on the navbar in the splunk dashboard and chose inspect element.

You can also test your selectors "live" in the browsers console.
