Hi,

I am trying to connect Splunk Db Connect to informix database but I always get an error when I am saving the connection. I installed the Informix JDBC driver but did not work. I always get this error:

Encountered the following error while trying to save: In handler 'databases': Error connecting to database: java.sql.SQLException: INFORMIXSERVER does not match either DBSERVERNAME or DBSERVERALIASES.

I do not know why it does not see any match.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys

Hi @hxa27

Was just looking through the DB Connect documentation and just wanted to see if you saw this page. Did you follow step #8 under "Create a new database connection" after installing the Informix JDBC driver?

Hi @hxa27

Awesome! No problem at all, glad you got the missing piece of the puzzle 🙂 I'm sure some other folks might have missed (or will miss) that same step. I converted my comment to an answer so you can mark it as solved by clicking on the big check mark next to my response. This will help other people who are having the same issue find this solution. 😄
