What's the RPC Link doing on https on the Management Port 8089?

If i go to the management port via a browser over http i can see some links. each link requires a proper authentication except the /rpc link.

For what is this link?

The RPC Link can give only two values back:

  • returns 404 with a body of "Invalid List item
  • request" returns 200 with a body of ""

Newer Versions of the Forwarder do not use this – it's for backwards compatibility for very old Forwarders which are no longer supported (Version 3.x).
