Splunk App Packaging: How to package app with multiple add-ons to a single .spl file?

I am trying to package the app with

splunk package app abc

But since there is another add-on which I installed from splunk-base i.e. xyz isn't get packaged along with it.

Is there any way to package app with multiple add-ons from splunk-base in a single .spl?

SPL files are just compressed tarballs. Once you've packaged your app you can use Linux utilities to add the xyz app, assuming xyz's owner allows it. First you need to rename the .spl file to .tgz then gunzip it. Use tar to add the third-party app(s). Finally, gzip the tarball and rename it to a .spl file.
