Script Input to be triggered only whenever the script is not running

Hello Team,

I am having a python script that runs without exiting the while loop so this configured as scripted input in splunk

[script://......]

As this as non exit script i dont want to use interval=X seconds and trigger it for every certain interval but wanted to trigger it whenever this script is not running any idea please

Below idea might help you. But consider about performance

1) Create another script to monitor existing python script.Map a new script to saved search and scheduled it for every minute. In search string give as "|noop". Check the perfomance
2) Create a bash script to execute exsting python script and assign to cron tab.
