Limit data rate between splunk indexers

Hello,

is it possible to limit data rate between splunk indexers like splunkforwarders when replicating in a cluster?

Thanks.

Hi realsplunk, I don't believe that this is possible within the scope of splunk clustering configuration. You could, of course, throttle network throughput at various other scopes, but this generally isn't advised unless necessary, and you do some testing to make sure you have available overhead in the case of a spike in splunk ingestion/replication.

Please let me know if this answers your question!

Why would you? This is one of the most important tasks and if it is slowed, it could get so far behind that it can never catch up. Or are you looking to make sure that it is NOT being throttled?
