Getting Data In

How does one use an API to pull Splunk Documentation into a repository?

What would it take to use something like REST API to pull down documents from Splunk Documentation website? The search capability for documentation is not ideal so I'd rather pull the documents down automatically and then use AI to search for what I need.

Hi @jackbenimble

Unfortunately there is no API for the docs website to pull down specific pages, however there is https://github.com/jewnix/splunk-spec-files which provides version-specific (per tag) .conf spec files - this will give you the detail on conf file key-values and examples, if this helps?
