Hello,
I'm trying to connect my NAS Synology RS3617 to Splunk but i don't know how to do it.
During my research on this topic, i found out that we can do a poll SNMP. Is there any API i can use or is other ways to do it?

Check out the SNMP Modular Input app at https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1537/.
Another option is having the NAS forward its logs in syslog form to Splunk, preferably via a dedicated syslog server.

In the current DSM versions (6.x) you can install the Synology logcenter and configure under "log sending" the syslog server to were you want to send the synology syslog to.

Installing the "Bootsttrap" is no longer neccesary.
