Hardware reference for Stream App

Hi at all,

I have to capture strems coming from some tap devices in my network using Steam App.

Which are the minimal hardware requirements for the Forwarder machine in both situations:

  • using an Universal Forwarder,
  • using anIndipoendent Forwarder?

How many taps can be connected to a single Forwarder, is it depends on the NICs?

Can the Forwarder be installed on a Virtual machine or must it be installed on a physical machjine?

Ciao and thanks.

Giuseppe
