Can we create a custom folder in /opt/splunk/etc/ directory. Will that affect any functionality of Splunk ?
Basically I want to a take a backup of an app and store it somewhere inside Splunk directory.
"/ Opt / splunk / etc" is the monitoring target folder of Splunk.
I do not think you need to take unnecessary risks. It is recommended that you save it in a different folder.
