Hi ,

How do I know which index is associated with which monitor if I dont have splunk web enabled e.g splunk light forwarder? In web can see this under monitor file section.

Is there any CLI command for this? splunk list monitor only shows which files are monitored.

You can use the btool command to generate the list.

splunk cmd btool list monitor

lists all configured monitors and their configured options.

If you're on linux, you could use the following command to generate list that contains only the monitor and the associated index:

splunk cmd btool inputs list monitor | grep -P "^(\[|index)"
