I'm seeing a lot of these lines in splunkd.log every 30 seconds from some forwarders :

05-24-2011 10:10:05.400 +0200 ERROR TcpInputProc - Error encountered for connection from src=192.168.0.22:33783. Success

I am getting data from these hosts, everything appears to be normal but I'd like to make sure that nothing bad is going on here..

The mentions of an "error" are benign and can be safely ignored. This cosmetic issue is well-known and has been filed under reference SPL-34584.
