Compression of Splunk internal logs

Engager

Hello,

I have a small instance of Splunk with not a lot of disk space and therefore, I was wondering if it was possible to compress the internal log files when they're rotating.
By internal log file, I mean metrics.log, splunkd.log, resource_usage.log, etc.

Do you know if it's possible?

Thank you in advance.
