Hi, I cannot seem to get the cisco firewall add-on working with splunk for windows.

Error is "TypeError: 'NoneType' object is unsubscriptable" with all searches, etc.

Installed the app in the correct dir and cannot do anything at all with it.

Any help appreciated.

Hello, The Cisco Firewall add-on does not have an actual app UI. It simply provides the lookups, field extractions and some sample reports for the Cisco Firewalls. If you look under the views or searches and reports tab in the Splunk Search app you will see the Cisco Firewall reports and dashboards. If you would like, the Splunk for Cisco Security app on Splunkbase provides a UI for the Cisco Firewall add-on.

Added the file "C:\Program Files\Splunk\etc\apps\cisco_firewall_addon\default\data\ui\nav\default.xml"

Unfortunately I cannot find a way to include the XML text in this form.

Can now see the dashboards and run the searches.

Why is an example default.xml not included with the app?
