Getting Data In

Can you manage intermediate forwarders using a deployment server?

I have searched the documentation but I can not find where you define the deployment server information. I am using 6.2 on CentOS and I want to manage the outputs.conf through an app on the deployment server instead of manually editing each forwarder.

/opt/splunkforwarder/bin/splunk set deploy-poll {{deployment_server_name}}:8089
/opt/splunkforwarder/bin//splunk restart

Or you can edit/add the deploymentclient.conf in /opt/splunkforwarder/etc/system/local/

See here > http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.2.1/Updating/Configuredeploymentclients
