Hi..

I have a specfic set of users with role name "myapp-testers" , now the users associated with this role when they are leaving the browser idle for few min there session is getting timeouted..

So is there any option in splunk ? to increase the idle session time out for the roles..i.e is there capability defined for this ? so that i can add that capability to this role ..

Cause when i login using admin , and leave the browser ideally i am not seeing any session timeout..so if you can help in find me the capability what the admin role has for this case , i can add the same to my role..

i have figured a capability called "edit_httpauths" will this help to set session time out ?

Pls help ..

You can configure session timeout as described in docs. However this is overall configuration for all users. 5.0.x does not support roles based session timeouts.

Neither 4.3.* or 5.0.* support roles based timeout. You can update timeout for overall configuration as described in the above link.
