Where in the upgrade sequence does the DMC and Deployment server get done? I don't see anything in the doc that addresses these components.
Both of these function primarily as Search Heads so follow those rules and upgrade these after your other Search Heads are done.
Gonna send this along to the docs team to see if they can highlight these utility functions like search heads more clearly.
That was next on my list but you beat me to it.
