What is the impact of deployment server failure?

Hi

i am curious to what is the impact if my deployment server is down? how can i handle it?

The short answer: Nothing bad. Obviously, changes made on in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/deployment-apps/ will not be pulled in to the Deployment Clients. Also, you will get splunkd errors in _internal saying that there are DC timeout/connection failures, and you will get a TON of them for every Deployment Client.
