heatmap viz in Splunk 10.2.2

I am trying to recreate some XML dashboards in Dashboard Studio. Many of which use the heatmap viz v1.5.1. All I am getting is a blank black view. Nothing renders. If I create the heat map in search and try to save it to an existing dashboard its the same results......nothing.

I tested the app in splunk cloud 10.2.2510.13 with some of the sample queries provided by the app and it worked in simple xml but not in dashboard studio.

The screenshots on Splunkbase for the app show it being used in Dashboard Studio, therefore I expect that it has been tested in 10.2 - Are you able to share info on the search you are running or a dashboard JSON example that we can use to investigate the issue?

the screenshots in the splunkbase listing are from the app sample dashboards and they are in simple xml.

Have you tried cloning the XML dashboard to Dashboard Studio?  Splunk will do the conversion for you.
