I'm new to Splunk and using version 4.2.5 and trying to generate simple form, I receive the error: "NotImplementedError: Cannot find object mapper for panel type: form"

Could someone please shed some light for me?

My code is:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

<dashboard>

<label>Testing with Pulldowns</label>

<row>

<form>

<label>Username</label>

<searchTemplate>

source=/path/to/alldata2.csv | search region = $region$

</searchTemplate>

<fieldset>

<input type="text" token="region" />

</fieldset>

<row>

<event>

<option name="count">100</option>

</event>

</row>

</form>

</row>

</dashboard>

Well a dashboard and a form are very different in the simple xml world, you've defined a dashboard and then tried to define a form inside of it. Just replace your tags with

tags and delete the other ones. e.g.

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
<form>
<label>Testing with Pulldowns</label>
<row>
