Where to find UI example app?

At the user conference, Nick spoke about the UI example app(dashboard?) that seemed to be a nice variety of examples with comments on how to construct most of the UI elements in Splunk. This looks like a good thing to check out for anyone looking to go from the simple xml stuff to the advanced xml (like me).

What is the URL to access this? Does it come with the base install of Splunk, or is there an app to get?

This question is rather old (posted over 6 years ago), so unfortunately a lot has changed since then, and this app no longer exists as it was around the time 4.0/4.1 was the hip new thing.

If you're looking for the app relevant to Splunk 6.x UI examples, you should check out the Splunk 6.x Dashboard Examples app on Splunkbase:

I already have the dashboard examples - I was looking for typical searches for users.

There is one for 4.1 (not just 4.0) that contains drilldown and other examples not possible in 4.0: http://www.splunkbase.com/apps/All/app:UI+Examples+for+4.1

Or from inside splunk, go to the Launcher app; you'll find this app and the rest splunkbase in the "Browse more apps".

If you're going to start working with the advanced XML, you'll find the RelaxNG schema handy. You can find it at http://:8000/info
