System message - Can you have clickable links within the banner message?

Builder

When setting a bulletin message, it seems you are not able to have a clickable link, even when typing an entire URL out.

e.g. https://www.google.com

It will just show as plain text in the system message.

Can anyone confirm that having clickable links in the bulletin message is not allowed?

Hi again, @ben_leung. Our engineers have confirmed that it is not currently supported to place links with markup into the message text. If I hear of a workaround, I'll update you.
Thanks!

Hi @ben_leung. I am a tech writer here at Splunk. I am looking into this issue as part of responding to a similar question on this site:
http://answers.splunk.com/answers/241182/how-to-add-an-external-link-reference-into-a-splun.html#ans...

Currently I see that only a String value is accepted, but I am checking on whether you can put in a link with markup and have it work.
I will update you and let you know what I find out.

Thanks for your question!

Hello again, @ben_leung. Just wanted to update you on a workaround for now.

You can follow this syntax for external links in bulletin messages:

["URL" "Website display name" ]
as in
[http://www.example.com Example]

Please see this post:
http://answers.splunk.com/answers/241182/how-to-add-an-external-link-reference-into-a-splun.html#ans...

for more details.

Thanks and I hope this helps!
