Dashboards & Visualizations

Is it possible to have a checkbox to toggle hiding or showing panels/rows on a dashboard in Simple XML?

Assuming I have a dashboard with multiple panels, is there a way to have some visible and some not?

  <form>
      <label>dashboard name</label>

        <fieldset autoRun="true" submitButton="false">
        <input type="checkbox" token="sourcetype_token" searchWhenChanged="true">
            <choice value="show">show</choice>
            <choice value="hide">hide</choice>
        </fieldset>

        <row>
            <panel>
                <chart>

                ...

                </chart>
            </panel>
        </row>
        <row>
            <panel>
                <chart>

                ...

                </chart>
            </panel>
        </row>
        <row>
            <panel>
                <chart>

                ...

                </chart>
            </panel>
        </row>
    </form>

currently this skeleton has the following view
check box
row1
row2
row3

Is there a way I can do the following:
check box
row1
row2 show/hide
row3 show/hide

with row 2 and 3 having the same control to toggle them from visible to hide?

I am looking to do this in simple XML.

You need the depends option for simple XML. Check out this excellent answer with example:
