How do I enter a dashboard type?

I am using version 8.2.3 Build: cd0848707637

Settings / data input / I entered ”dashboard” in the find box. And selected dashboard studio.

I get the dashboard studio page. From the key features, I select dashboards.

Then I click on create new dashboard. I get a popup that ask for;

Dashboard title

Edit id

Description

Permissions

I then click create and get this message “You must select a dashboard type. “.

My question is where do I select the dashboard type?

Hi @iqworks,

sorry, there's something I don't understand:

whay do you used Settings / Data input /Dashboard?

if you want to create a new dashboard you have to enter in an App, open the "Dashboards" list, and click on "New dashboard".

In the opened window, as @ITWhisperer said, you'll find two great buttons:

  • Classi dashboards
  • Dashboard Studio;

so you can choose the preferred interface to create your dashboards.

You'll have the same choose (with the same interface) when you try to save a search in a dashboard panel.

Ciao.

Giuseppe
