Dynamic Drilldown external link causing error

I am trying to add a link to an external site with Dynamic Drilldown. The link is:

https://tsg:81/STATUS_ALL_ERRORS/index.html?CMD=REFRESH_REPORT&RTYPE=5&ROBJ=0

After restarting Splunk, and navigating to the dashboard, the error message appears:

XML Syntax Error: EntityRef: expecting ';', line 94, column 72

When I change the link to https://tsg:81, it works fine.

Please advise.

You have to escape the ampersand characters because in XML it's technically a control character used for escaping other characters.

Replace your "&" with "&" or wrap that one XML node's content in a CDATA tag and you'll be fine.

Thanks! Didn't consider the XML special chars...
