Can one dropdown be driven by another dropdown in Simple XML

I have a particular form that i am working on but in simple XML, which needs to have 2 dropdowns, where i need to populate a drop down based on the selection made on the first drop down. Is this possible in Simple XML?
Thanks in advance.

I really don't feel this is possible in simple XML, but it is possible in advanced xml. I'd strongly recommend downloading the sideview utils application and take a look at his samples on dynamic pulldowns.
