To Monitor DB2 via AppyDnamics

Should there be another VPN between the Database servers and AWS AppD SaaS Controller? If not, how does the data get from datacentre to AWS?

The AppD_DB2_agent_host is in the CMS datacentre, along with the 2 database in CMS. So, how does data from another 2 DB in DC get to the AppD_DB2_agent_host?

Hi Suresh,

The AppDynamics Database Agent needs to be deployed in a network zone where it can:

1. Make a SQL connection to the target DB2 instances for monitoring

2. Send metrics and events to the Controller (AWS in the case of SaaS)

If you have multiple DB2 instances in multiple isolated data centers, you can deploy a Database Agent in each data center, each of which needs to have network connectivity to the Controller.
