Nginx and the PHP App Agent

Hello all,

I am having trouble getting the PHP app agent to talk to the on-premise controller. I have gone over the docs and the instructions multiple times and have installed it using the installer that the controller generated and the one I downloaded from the downloads page.

I suspect the issue may be that my app is using Nginx, though it does have FastCGI (which makes it a supported environment (or does it?) (https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO14S/Supported+Environments+and+Versions+for+PHP). I have tried to look at the logs, but there aren't any being generated (in /opt/appdynamics/php-agent/appdynamics-php-agent/logs).

My setup: PHP 5.5.9, Nginx 1.4.6, Ubuntu 14 all inside VirtualBox 4.3.22 and Vagrant 1.7.2. The app is EZ Publish 5.3.

I'd really like some more ideas on how to debug.

Thanks!
