Hi.

We have revently deployed Appdynamics solution. While installing .Net agent to webserver, we are getting following message in log:

Could not connect to the controller/invalid response from controller, cannot get registration information

Moreover, the device is not showing up in console server.

Your support is required.

Hi,

While .Net team got chance to look into this, check if the following information helps:

- is the controller host/ip and port is reachable from physical instance where .net agent is installed, you can check using ping and telnet commands Or access controller URL from machine in browser where .net agent is installed

- if ssl-enabled flag set to value accordingly and also if controller is running multi tenant check whether you passed account-name and access-key

If above said details are in place and you could connect controller UI from .net agent instance in browser, send the archive version if .net agent logs directory for our review.

Regards,

Arun

Thanks for the response.

We have already verified the connectivity between agents and controller. We are able to ping and telnet. Moreover, UI is also accessible from browser.

Logs files are attached for review.

Hi.

- We understood that you are trying to install .NET machine agent as per logs:
2015-01-12 09:25:25.8706 5088 dllhost 1 8 Info RegistrationChannel setting agent type [MACHINE_AGENT]

- We understood that you are using ssl port to connect to controller Can you confirm if ssl-enabled flag is set to try during .net agent installation time is set to "true"  Also confirm if the controller is single tenant or multi-tenant if multi tenant you would need to pass account-name and access-key

- Please send the screenshots from browser as it is not clear from agent logs controller host details as it looks you have masked for security it seems

2015-01-12 09:25:45.8896 5088 dllhost 1 11 Info RegistrationChannel using controller host [xxxx]; controller port [8181]

It looks you are using 4.0.0.3 agent version, please confirm the controller UI version

Hi,

If the controller host used for .net machine agent is "momp-apm" and ssl-enabled flag is set to true and port 8181 is not blocked by any firewall rule as we do not see output of telnet command in your last update, please do restart instance and see if issue persists.
