Monitor the End-User Experience for a LAN Web Application

Hello,

I'd like to use the End-User Monitoring feature (available since March 2012).

These are my constraints:

• The Web Application is deployed on a LAN (no Internet connection)
• The presentation layer is a mix of JSF 1.2 and GWT 2.4 module

The compatibility matrix provided in the docs does not mention GWT. Does AppDynamics EUM support GWT as presentation framework ?

From the AppDynamics docs, I pointed out I have to:

• Configure AppDynamics Controller to enable End-User Monitoring with automatic JS injection
• Install and deploy the GeoServer and configure some locations

According to my deployment context, is that correct about the EUM configuration ?

Finally, some Application pages load through several AJAX requests (XHR). Is Time measurement global to the page or split for each AJAX request ?

Hello ,

You will need to host the geo resolver and confirugre the ip mapping as suggested in the documentation .  Also  as of now we don't support gwt out of the box but in future releases we have plans to support it.

The current version of EUM might not work if XHR request are been made by GWT as we don't support it out of the box . But we will be releasing newer version of it in which this can be supported via manual injection
