Hi,
I'm tasked with evaluating the use of Appdynamics in a native mobile app. To set this up, I'm following this guide: https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO39/Instrument+an+iOS+Application
However, when I try to enable End User Experience Monitoring, as per the screenshot in the guide, it gives me the message "Enabling, please wait for a few moments", tries for awhile and errors out with the error "EUM could not be enabled. No response from agg.eum-appdynamics.com".
I've tried with a few different web browsers and with a few days in between. Any advice on what my next step should be?
Thanks!
Hi,
Can you provide the complete screenshot from controller UI (screenshot including the view of address URL of controller UI) and server.log under <Controller_dir>/logs path if you are referring to an onPremise controller instance to debug further?
If this is an onPremise controller please make sure you have opened 443 http post for host agg.eum-appdynamics.com and see how it goes.
Regards,
Arun
Attempting to follow the mobile guide is the first thing I've tried, and this is on a trial account, so there's nothing on premise.
I first go here:
I click the checkbox:
Wait for awhile, then:
Thanks!
Hi ,
We see you are hitting a known bug on your saas instance which is on paid96 and our experts team is already working on high priority internal bug on this for patch fix on this. Please be sure that the issue in allocating EUM key getting timedout is affecting only saas instances on paid96 instance only. Hope that information helps.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused here.

Arun
Alright, thanks for the confirmation. Do you have a timeframe for when this might be fixed? Or is there a workaround, so that I can proceed?
Thanks,
Jesper
Hi Jesper,
One option is to use controller onPremise or saas controller that is not launched in paid96 instsance for now. The fix is expected to go in 3.9.6 patch release and as of now we do not have any timeline but this patch release will not take long period.

Arun
I have exactly the same problem. I just setup an SaaS instance and I am unable to enable end user experience monitoring. If you want to know what I see, read the initial poster's screen shots. My situation appears identical.
I am on https://paid108.saas.appdynamics.com. Does this feature actually work with your SaaS? Or does it only work with the on premises version?
interestingly, I was able to click and unclick repeatedly (out of frustration). And it eventually worked! That is interesting.
Well, at least the configuration seemed to stick. I will test it now.
Understood, thanks for the information. Can you post in this thread when 3.9.6 is deployed, or this there another way I can monitor this?
Hi Jesper,
We will update this post once the issue is got fixed. As we see even adding you in internal jira bug might not get notifications.

Arun
