Hi there,
Lets say i have a Oracle DB and an application uses it.
There is a backup job running on the Oracle which slows down the DB access, So application also slows down.
Can AppDynamics pinpoint that application is not faulty and the root cause of the issue is due to the DB ?
Regards
Sachin
You would need to be monitoring the backend database with the AppDynamics for Databases product to know that a backup job (or some other ad-hoc query not originating in the application) killed your DB performance. If you're not already using that product you can find out more about it here...

Hi Sachin,
We understood that you are using our Pro version of the product let us know if any disconnect.
Yes, AppDynamics monitors backends as separate components and if the slow execution time is due to calls to Oracle JDBC Backend then appdynamics helps you to find out the root cause is whether app code or due to sql queries executed at the database as referred in below screenshots:
Let us know if that information helps
