Would you recommend to back up ALL knowledge Objects in Splunk before upgrading to 8.2.2 ?

I normally do not recommend backing up all KOs before an upgrade.  Splunk upgrades are very reliable so backups rarely are useful.  If you feel better having a backup ready then feel free to do so.
