Why does the link switcher module with a certain number of series generate a truncated legend when switching back to a link already visited?

Hi,

I have some issues with the link_switcher.js javascript provided by the Splunk 6 Dashboard Example App.

This is an excellent feature, very useful that I personally very often use to improve dashboards and interfaces. (that would be nice to implement it natively in future Splunk version !)

Currently there is an issue with the linkswitcher module and the legend of series, when the number of series starts to be numerous, going back to an already clicked link generates a truncated legend:

By the example:

  • A view with multiple panels works perfectly:

alt text

  • If i switch to a new link, no problem, the chart is loaded, quickly re-sized to 100% and the legend is correctly displayed

  • Once i switch back to a link a already visited, the legend is wrongly displayed:

alt text

  • If a refresh the search within the panel, then the legend is correctly displayed upon search execution

I can confirm this problem will be present in any view that uses the link_switcher.js with charts having more than a few series.

I have started to try trouble shooting the javascript, but couldn't get something correcting it, that seems to be related with the resize operation:

        // Force charts to redraw
        $(window).trigger('resize');

The problem occurs with any browser on any system, as far as i know.

Thanks for any help !

Hello !

Any news for the bug resolution ? (for information, Splunk 6.2.3 did not solved this)

Thank you in advance.
