Sideview Editor - Customizing Radial Gauge Not Working Correctly

I am attempting to create a radial gauge in Sideview Editor and it is not working correctly. Some of the custom params (ie charting.chart.rangeValues) require the data to be enclsoed in square brackets. When I try putting ["0","80","90","100"] in the custom params under HiddenChartFormatter and click submit, nothing happens, literally. When I click the button, it does not refresh or anything.

I have tried many other special characters, and they seem to work. I can end the string with a square bracket but if I try to start it with a square bracket it becomes unresponsive until i remove it or change it to something else.

Has anyone else had this issue or know a workaround? I have tried modifying the advanced xml directly, but it gets overwritten if I modify the view in the Sideview Editor.

This is a bug in the Sideview Editor. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, and sorry for the inconvenience. I have a fix and it will go out in the next release (currently slated to be 3.3.6, next week ish).

In the meantime I think you can
a) edit the view manually to have that one problematic param and value
b) Use the FreshMaker to get Splunk to reload the views from disk (thus picking up your change)
c) Use the Sideview Editor, but just don't edit the params on that one module.

I believe that you can muck about with the other modules and it won't go back and rewrite the one you wrote manually. If not let me know.

Another workaround I found is that adding a extra comma at the end of the bracketed string works correctly for whatever reason.

Example:
["0","80","90","100"] = does not work
["0","80","90","100",] = does work
