Why am I getting "Error connecting to database: java.sql.SQLException" trying to connect to Oracle database?

Dear All,

Recently i have installed splunk db connect app and i am trying to connect to oracle database but getting the following error:

"In handler 'databases': Error connecting to database: java.sql.SQLException: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection"

can any one help me out here?

That means that the database couldn't be connected to. it could be unsupported java version or wrong config information
