Website Monitoring + setup

I have installed Website Monitoring from here(can't provide link) successfully

When I click on the app Website Monitoring I get the following:

To monitor the status of websites, you will need to setup a Splunk data input that will connect to the website to collect the data. Use the Splunk Manager to make a new input (or to modify existing ones).

And it also says:

Search is waiting for input...

So when I go to Data Inputs -> Website Availability Check I get the following:

name URL Interval Title Configuration Source type Index Status Actions
TestName urlAddresIsHere 15m TestName
web_ping
default Enabled | Disable Clone | Delete

when I do a search for sourcetype=web_ping I do get some data, so i am thinking it is setup in someway right?

I am wondering how to get Website Monitoring to link to this data?

What am I missing here?

tks

Hit the submit button. It sounds like the search didn't get started.

I'm going to look into making that search automatically start. It isn't very intuitive. It has happened to me and I wrote the app!
