Use a Proxy Server for Internet Access

Hi,

is it possible to use Syndication Input with a Web Proxy on a Linux Splunk Server? Can i use the global proxy variabl?

You need to add some lines to the splunk-launch.conf to tell Splunk to use a proxy server:

http_proxy=http://proxy:port
https_proxy=http://proxy:port

My understanding is that non-spec entries in this file will be added to the environment vars for the Splunk user.
