Splunk add-on builder enable basic authentication

I have added the global account settings in the "Data input parameters" and also enabled the basic authentication in the "data input definition.

The test succeeded.

The issue is that when I install this app on another instance of Splunk it does not popup for user name and password.

any idea why?
